Total land under crops in Armenia grew 7% or by 25,300 hectares in the first half of this year, Armenian Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan said on Thursday.
YEREVAN, July 26./ARKA/. Total land under crops in Armenia grew 7% or by 25,300 hectares in the first half of this year, Armenian Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan said on Thursday.
He told journalists that arable land constitutes 449,200 hectares, of which only 30% is cultivated.
“This is our highest achievement this year,” the minister said. “Long years land in Armenia was not used rationally, but now progress is already seen.”-0---
