Tourist flow to Armenia increased by 17.4% in March, reaching 152,400 people

In March 2026, 152,444 tourists visited Armenia, compared to 129,887 in March 2025, an increase of approximately 17.4%, the RA Tourism Committee reported.
YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. In March 2026, 152,444 tourists visited Armenia, compared to 129,887 in March 2025, an increase of approximately 17.4%, the RA Tourism Committee reported.
According to the agency, more than 453,100 tourist visits were recorded in January-March, an increase of 17.17% compared to the same period in 2025 (more than 386,800). The largest number of tourists arrived in Armenia from Russia—178,321 (40%), followed by Georgia—67,131 (15%), and Iran—34,960 (8%).
Yesterday, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced a record number of tourist visits for the first three months of this year.
It was previously reported that over 2,263,600 tourist visits were recorded for all of 2025, compared to nearly 2,208,200 the year before (an increase of 2.5%).
Lusine Gevorgyan, Head of the RA Tourism Committee, stated that over the next five years, the country expects to welcome the same number of people annually as its population—at least 3 million people—and that within 10 years, this number could reach 5 million.
