Trade turnover between Armenia and Russia reaches record $12 billion - Lavrov
YEREVAN, January 21. /ARKA/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that economic relations with Armenia are on the rise.
"Trade turnover is reaching record levels: nearly $12 billion last year, according to statistics. Our cooperation, both bilaterally and within the framework of the EAEU, is yielding these truly impressive results," the Russian minister said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Moscow.
According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, Russia leads in trade turnover with Armenia. For January-November 2024, this figure surpassed $11.6 billion, marking a 71.6% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Armenian exports to the Russian Federation amounted to more than $2.95 billion (a 10.1% decline), while imports totaled over $8.8 billion (a 2.4-fold increase).
