YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. Two Kazakh airlines – SCAT and FlyArystan – are ready to launch direct flights to Armenia if subsidized. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.
"The most important thing is direct flights. We had them, but now they are temporarily suspended," Zhumangarin told journalists in Astana.
According to him, the problem is that service at the Yerevan airport is very expensive – $65 per passenger and approximately $1,248 per ton of jet fuel.
"The possibility of subsidizing them is currently being discussed," Zhumangarin said.
