Violations of hygiene standards found in lavash production facility in one of Armenia’s villages

Employees of the Aragatsotn branch of the Food Safety Inspectorate conducted inspections in a lavash baking workshop owned by individual entrepreneur Heghina Tadevosyan (Voskevaz village) and revealed a number of violations of established food hygiene standards.
YEREVAN, April 30. /ARKA/. Employees of the Aragatsotn branch of the Food Safety Inspectorate conducted inspections in a lavash baking workshop owned by individual entrepreneur Heghina Tadevosyan (Voskevaz village) and revealed a number of violations of established food hygiene standards.
In particular, the design, structure, placement and size of the production buildings did not exclude the accumulation of dirt, the penetration of particles into the manufactured products, the occurrence of mold; there was no toilet in the workshop; the floor, walls and ceiling were not covered with waterproof, washable and disinfectable materials; the frequency of cleaning, washing and disinfection of production facilities, equipment and property, as well as the fight against insects and rodents was not established; personnel handling food products did not undergo mandatory preliminary and periodic medical examinations.
By decision of the head of the regulator, the production activities of the lavash baking workshop have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for eliminating the identified violations. -0-
