Industrial output in Armenia in 2024 increased by 4.7%, to 3 trillion drams

YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. The industrial output in Armenia in 2024 totaled 2,998,370.2 million drams (at current prices), marking an increase of 4.7% compared to 2023, according to data published by the National Statistical Committee.
At the same time, the volume of industrial production in December amounted to 325,220.9 million drams, which represents a decline of 14.8% compared to December 2023. However, a 17.7% increase was recorded when compared to November 2024.
The volume of production in the mining industry and open-pit mining amounted to 464,734.8 million drams (an 8.6% decrease compared to the previous year), while in the manufacturing sector it reached 2,153,112.5 million drams (a 6.5% increase).
The volume of production in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and purified air amounted to 349,021.3 million drams (an increase of 12.6%), while the volume in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and recycling reached 31,501.6 million drams (a 5.8% increase).
The largest contribution was made by the manufacturing sector, which accounted for 71.8% of the total. The share of the mining and open-pit mining sector was 15.5%, that of electricity, gas, steam, and purified air supply was 11.6%, and water supply, sewerage, and waste management accounted for 1.1%.
