Year-on-year inflation rate in Armenia recorded at 3.7% in September

			YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. In September 2025, when compared to September 2024, Armenia's inflation rate stood at 3.7%, reflecting a monthly rise of 0.3%, the Statistical Committee (Armstat) said.
In September 2025, relative to September 2024, the prices of food items and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 5.8%, with a monthly increase of 0.3%.
In September, the prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products saw a year-on-year increase of 6.8%, along with a 0.3% rise compared to August of the current year.
Conversely, in September 2024, the prices of clothing and footwear experienced a decline of 1.2% (a decrease of 0.5% month-on-month), while utility costs rose by 0.4% (an increase of 0.2% month-on-month).
The prices of household goods, appliances, and daily apartment maintenance services increased by 2% year-on-year in September, alongside a 0.3% month-on-month rise.
In September, healthcare sector prices increased by 3.5% year-on-year (up 0.1% month-on-month), transportation sector prices rose by 4.1% (down 0.8% month-on-month), communication sector prices increased by 0.4% year-on-year (up 0.5% month-on-month), recreation and culture sector prices rose by 2.1% (up 0.3% month-on-month), education sector prices increased by 8.3% (up 8.3% month-on-month), and prices in the restaurant and hotel sectors rose by 2% (down 0.2% month-on-month).
Additionally, prices for various goods and services saw a year-on-year increase of 1.7% in September (down 0.8% month-on-month).
Simultaneously, statistics indicate that non-food market prices increased by 0.9% in September of this year compared to September of the previous year, and by 0.4% compared to August of the same year.
Moreover, utility tariffs for the population in September 2025 rose by 2.8% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month.
The state budget of Armenia for 2025 anticipates an economic growth rate of 5.1%. -0-
