Yerevan 2026 budget calls for 151.4 billion drams in revenue and - 156.7 billion spending
YEREVAN, December 23. /АРКА/. During a meeting on Tuesday, the Council of Elders of Yerevan approved the city's budget for 2026, with a significant focus on infrastructure modernization initiatives.
David Hakopyan, who heads the accounting and revenue collection department at Yerevan City Hall, indicated that the projected own receipts are set at 94.8 billion drams, reflecting an increase of 4.6 billion drams, or 5.2%, compared to the 2025 figures.
The state budget of Armenia is expected to provide a subsidy of 8.2 billion drams based on the principle of financial equalization.
Additionally, 1.3 billion drams are earmarked for financing expenses related to targeted allocations and subsidies, while 46.9 billion drams are designated for the execution of powers assigned to the mayor of Yerevan.
Hakobyan pointed out that the planned expenditure is set at 156.7 billion drams, which is 2.7 billion drams lower than the expenditure approved in the 2025 budget.
He explained that this decrease is attributed to a reduction in funds from the state budget for the execution of delegated powers, as well as a decrease in the subsidy amount related to financial equalization. ($1 - 381.55 drams).-0-
