YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. Thanks to the digitalization of the Yerevan Electric Transport CJSC substation monitoring and control system, the capital will save approximately 100 million drams annually, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced at a working meeting on Monday.
According to him, processes that were previously performed mechanically are now automated and digital.
Yerevan Electric Transport CJSC Director Sarkis Bejanyan reported that the new monitoring and control system was implemented in 2025 at 23 substations supplying power to trolleybuses in the capital.
According to him, the system provides full control of the substations supplying the trolleybus overhead line, as well as their operational management from a single centralized remote control system.
"The new system allows for remote monitoring of substation operations, assessment of technical parameters, intervention in equipment operation, as well as monitoring substation fire safety and recording incidents of unauthorized entry," Bejanyan said, describing the project as a success. ($1 - 377.54 drams).
