Yerevan trading company accused of concealing 1.5 billion drams in turnover, damage to the state estimated at 430 million drams

YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia has revealed a case of shadow turnover of 1.5 billion drams by a company engaged in the trade of food and non-food products in the capital's Davtashen district.
Operational information was received that the company accepts cash when selling goods, without issuing cash receipts, but provides only internal accounting documents and evades paying taxes on an especially large scale, the State Revenue Committee said in a statement.
During large-scale operational and investigative measures, factual data was obtained indicating that in the period from March 1, 2023 to April 30, 2025, the company concealed sales revenue of about 1.5 billion drams. The damage caused to the state, according to a preliminary assessment, is 430 million drams.
Based on the information provided by the Investigative Committee, a criminal case has been initiated.
A suspect or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court decision that has entered into legal force, in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia.
