Yerevan municipality budget refilled by 25% more tax revenues from outdoor ads in 2012

Tax revenues to Yerevan Municipality budget from outdoor advertising rose by 25% in 2012 to 1 billion 467 million drams, Araz Baghdasaryan who heads outdoor advertising department of the Municipality said Wednesday.

YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. Tax revenues to Yerevan Municipality budget from outdoor advertising rose by 25% in 2012 to 1 billion 467 million drams, Araz Baghdasaryan who heads outdoor advertising department of the Municipality said Wednesday.
“Last year we worked on optimizing the process of fund collection from outdoor advertising. Today the cost of an ad ranges from 2 to 6.5 thousand drams per 1 sq. m of an ad poster,” Baghdasaryan said.
He noted in 2013 the Municipality plans to increase tax collections in this sphere by another 7%.
According to him, many subjects in Yerevan do not accord with the Municipality placement of their ad posters. In 2012 the parliament of Armenia adopted some legislative amendments and the law violators will be now fined up to 100 minimal salaries.
He added now all the citizens who place ads at inappropriate places will be fined. -0-
