An Azerbaijani sniper heavily wounded an Armenian contract serviceman, Armenia's Ministry of Defense reported January 16.
YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. An Azerbaijani sniper heavily wounded an Armenian contract serviceman, Armenia's Ministry of Defense reported January 16.
It said the incident occurred on January 15 at around 16:30 in a combat position of an Armenian army unit deployed in the north-east direction.
The serviceman was identified as Private Arthur Mezhlumyan from Tavush region. He was taken to the central clinical military hospital in Yerevan. Doctors assessed his condition as serious. An investigation into the accident is underway. -0-
