A magnitude 2.8 earthquake was recorded in Armenia's Gegharkunik region today, the Interior Ministry's Rescue Service said.
YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. A magnitude 2.8 earthquake was recorded in Armenia's Gegharkunik region today, the Interior Ministry's Rescue Service said.
It said the earthquake occurred at 13:59 local time (09:59 GMT) 6 km south of the village of Shorzha. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 km. The Rescue Service said also that the shaking force of the tremor in the epicenter was 3-4 points.
The earthquake was felt in the capital Yerevan and across Gegharkunik province. --0--
