Mass poisoning incident in Armavir: Nine individuals sought medical assistance
YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Nine residents of Armavir, Armenia, have sought medical assistance after reportedly being poisoned by donuts and lahmajo, according to the Food Safety Inspectorate.
The inspectorate received a notification on Friday indicating that nine individuals had sought medical assistance at the Armavir Medical Center on the night of October 9, with a preliminary diagnosis of food poisoning. Four of the affected individuals were admitted to the hospital, while the remaining received outpatient care.
Inspectors found that some of the affected individuals had consumed lahmajo purchased from the donut shop located at 32/1 Hanrapetutyan Street, while others had eaten donuts from the from the "Ringo" food service establishment on 10/11/1. Hanrapetutyan, 14.
Control measures were implemented, food samples were gathered from the mentioned catering establishments, and these samples were dispatched for laboratory analysis. The Inspectorate indicated that suitable supplementary measures will be enacted following the release of the results.-0-
