Armenian president meets with OSCE MG co-chairmen

RA President Serge Sargsyan held a meeting with Co-Chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier (France), Matthew Bryza (USA) and Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrej Kasprzic.
YEREVAN, June 28. /ARKA/. RA President Serge Sargsyan held a meeting with Co-Chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier (France), Matthew Bryza (USA) and Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrej Kasprzic. They arrived in Yerevan from Baku as part of their regional visit.
 
The RA presidential press service reports that the sides discussed issues related to the Madrid proposals for the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.

President Sargsyan informed the OSCE MG Co-Chairmen of the Armenian side’s positions on the negotiations. The Co-Chairmen informed President Serge Sargsyan of the talks with Azerbaijani leaders in Baku.

Last November, in Madrid, Spain, the OSCE MG Co-Chairmen submitted the fundamental principles of a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents. The Co-Chairmen consider the proposals fair and balanced.

Since 1992, negotiations for a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have been conducted within the OSCE Minsk Group co-chaired by Russia, France and the USA. –0--
