Development perspectives of Armenian industry discussed in prime minister’s meeting

On Tuesday, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan met with the members of the Union of Local Manufacturers, chairmen of sub-committee of financial-economic and budgetary commission of the Public Council.

YEREVAN, December 14. /ARKA/. On Tuesday, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan met with the members of the Union of Local Manufacturers, chairmen of sub-committee of financial-economic and budgetary commission of the Public Council.

“I hope that this meeting will allow to understand the problems, issues of concern and the steps to be taken by the government. It is also an opportunity to introduce the package of reforms taking into account crisis and its consequences”, said Sargsyan.

Chairman of the Union of Local Manufacturers Vazgen Safaryan said that he had submitted the issues and concerns of manufacturers regarding efficient implementation of industrial policy of the country.

Participants submitted their proposals, approaches and positions regarding the current and future development of the industry of Armenia.

Issues of improvement of tax administration, increase of export volumes, promotion of small and medium-sized business, development of innovation technologies and tourism, strengthening of cooperation government-trade union were discussed in the meeting

Summarizing the results of the meeting, Sargsyan introduced the approaches of the government for the issues raised.

He submitted the raised issues and proposals in written form for studying and including them in future projects. For some issues he made assignments to responsible ministries and departments.

Participants expressed their gratitude to Tigran Sargsyan for solving the issues raised in the meeting in 2009 emphasizing the efficiency of such discussions.

Sargsyan said that such meetings allow the government make right decisions regarding the discussed issues. --0--
