Armenian president condoles death of people at Moscow Domodedovo airport

Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan has sent a letter of condolences to Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in connection with a Monday terrorist act at Moscow Domodedovo airport, Sargsyan’s press office said.
YEREVAN, January 25. / ARKA /. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan has sent a letter of condolences to Russian president Dmitry Medvedev in connection with a Monday terrorist act at Moscow Domodedovo airport, Sargsyan’s press office said.
"I was deeply shocked and outraged by reports about the bloody terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport, which killed dozens of innocent people", said Serzh Sargsyan.
"I express my sincere condolences to you, the families of the victims, all the peoples of Russian. I wish the relatives and friends of the victims of this horrible crime tenacity and courage of spirit, and a speedy recovery and recuperation to the wounded. I am confident that the measures undertaken will identify and punish those responsible and prevent similar crimes in the future,’ his message said.
The terrorist act was condemned also by first deputy Armenian defense minister David Tonoyan when he opened today in Yerevan a conference for planning Joint Strive-2011 military exercises, attended by 250 delegates from 38 countries.
The blast occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the entrance of the international arrivals section of Domodedovo airport.
According to the latest data, 35 people were killed in the blast and 110 people were hospitalized. Forty-one of those injured are in serious or critical condition. Domodedovo is 22 kilometers southeast of Moscow. According to the airport's website, it is the largest of Moscow's three airports, as well as the busiest in terms of passenger traffic. -0-
