YEREVAN, February 9, /ARKA/. Ruben Hakobian, the deputy chairman of an oppositional Zharangutyun (Heritage) party, urged today all opposition forces of the country to close ranks to fight some negative phenomena in Armenia’s domestic policies.
‘My personal approach and that of the Heritage party is that no single political party is capable of acting all alone to enforce radical changes. We need to find out a common platform and this applies to a greater extent to opposition parties, within which we can streamline our efforts,’ he said to a news conference today.
He said Armenians are getting increasingly frustrated by such negative phenomena as rampant corruption and skyrocketing prices. In his words, the opposition forces may unite to cooperate in fighting against these negative developments. M.M. -0-
