YEREVAN, April 13, /ARKA/. Armenian lawmakers have passed today in the second and final reading a set of amendments to the Law on State Non-Commercial Organizations designed to improve the country’s business environment.
Economy minister Tigran Davtian said the draft law calls for gradual cancellation of mandatory use of seals by government non-commercial organizations, explaining that the bill is not about full cancellation of use of seals by state non-commercial organizations, but about cancellation of mandatory use of seals which can be substituted by alternative identification mechanisms, for example, by electronic signature.
He said the earlier passed law on electronic signature works quite successfully giving organization an opportunity to choose between use of a seal or electronic signature.
The minister said when enacted the bill will significantly ease relations between the private sector and government agencies.-0-
