YEREVAN, July 11. /ARKA/. The “Heritage” opposition faction suggests that parliamentary hearings on the Karabakh problem be held, the “Novosti-Armenia” News Agency reports.
“Considering the constantly voiced declarations on the Karabakh problem, we believe it is expedient to hold hearings,” Heritage faction Press-Secretary Stepan Safaryan reported at a press-conference Wednesday.
He reported that their faction has put forward an initiative to hold two hearings at the fall session of the parliament: on the Karabakh problem and on intensification of the situation around Iran. According to him, their faction has already applied to head of the parliamentary committee for foreign relations Armen Rustamyan with a proposal to organize the hearings.
The latest hearings on the Karabakh problem were held in the parliament on March 29, 2005, and were open for the press. R.O. –0—
