Kocharyan: Armenian president sees no necessity in early parliamentary elections

22.03.2008, 02:55
Armenian President Robert Kocharyan sees no necessity in holding early parliamentary elections.
YEREVAN, March 21. /ARKA/. Armenian President Robert Kocharyan sees no necessity in holding early parliamentary elections.

He told journalist on Thursday in response to some proposals to hold early parliamentary elections that early elections could be justified only if the parliament’s majority wasn’t able to form government.

He finds this proposal unreasonable and fears the early election can intensify tension.

Kocharyan said that there will always be some people unhappy about election results.

He said that there will be no confidence in election results until losers admit their defeat.

Central Election Commission says Serge Sargsyan won presidency by scoring 52.82% of votes.—0--
