NO SERIOUS DISAGREEMENT EXISTS BETWEEN CO-CHAIRS OF OSCE MINSK GROUP ON SETTLEMENT OF KARABAKH CONFLICT
YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. No serious disagreement exists between the Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group on settlement of Karabakh conflict, political scientists Levon Melik-Shakhnazarian told journalists.
According to him, all the three parties – USA, France and Russia – oppose the resuming of the military operations, for different reasons though – USA because of the control over oil resources, Europe because of the stability in oil supplies and Russia to take the advantage of putting pressure on Armenia and Azerbaijan. “Nevertheless all the co-chairs support the stability in the region,” Melik-Shakhnazarian said.
Addressing the differences in comments on the co-chairs in Yerevan and Baku he pointed out that the co-chairs are guided by what the Armenian and Azerbaijani audiences want to hear from them.
“This is a diplomatic game, which puts pressure on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh and our peoples,” Melik Shakhnazarian said.--0--
