YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said in an interview with France 2TV channel that Paris has given its agreement to the conclusion of future contracts with Armenia which will allow the delivery of military equipment to Armenia, Armenpress reported.

"A dialog will be started with Armenia to understand what it needs," Colonna said.

Colonna said at a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Oct. 3 in Yerevan that France was ready to sign a treaty with Armenia allowing it to supply Armenia with military equipment for its defense.

Armen Khachatryan, the deputy chairman of the Armenian parliament committee on defense issues, said after Colonna's visit that Armenia will seek to acquire air-defense systems and other “defensive” weapons from France. - 0-
