Accusations of Electrical Networks of sabotage are false - head of the company

YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. Acting General Director of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC David Gazinyan touched upon two cases of power outages last week - during the opening of the Homplex Mall hypermall on Wednesday, as well as on 40% of the territory of Yerevan and part of Ashtarak on Friday.
"Both of these cases have nothing to do with us. Homeplex Mall is supplied with electricity from two directions - one belongs to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the second to the Caritas company, both have nothing to do with us. As for the de-energized half of Yerevan and part of the Ashtarak community, the cause was an accident at the Shahumyan-2 substation, which belongs to the state-owned High-Voltage Electric Networks company," he explained at a press conference.
Ghazinyan emphasized that 4 days have already passed, but there has been no reaction from High-Voltage Electric Networks to this emergency, no one has been held accountable. "Their electrical facilities do not belong to us, we have no right to work there, but, as a sign of goodwill, we are participating in the repairs," he noted.
Therefore, as Ghazinyan stated, the accusations of sabotage by Electric Networks are false. He also recalled that the power outage that occurred several months ago at a government meeting also occurred due to the fault of High-Voltage Electric Networks. networks".
Recently, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the readiness of the plan for the nationalization of ENA, claiming that the process will be carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
According to him, there are known problems in the energy sector of Armenia, including those related to quality. In his opinion, either there is deliberate sabotage or the system is technically incapable, so the processes for transferring ENA under state control should be implemented quickly and efficiently.
