Agenda of Washington talks between Pashinyan, Trump and Aliyev and the documents that may be signed have been made public

YEREVAN, August 8: /ARKA/. According to Public Television of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will hold a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington today. This will be followed by a trilateral meeting with Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev "to promote peace, prosperity, and economic cooperation in the region."
A number of documents are planned to be signed during the meeting between Pashinyan and Trump on energy, artificial intelligence, and the Crossroads of Peace project.
According to Public Television correspondent Maya Khachatryan in Washington, a peace document between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed following the meeting.
Pashinyan's delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, deputy ministers, the chief of staff, the Secretary of the Security Council, and the Minister of High-Tech Industry. Bilateral talks between Pashinyan and Trump are expected to start at 22:30 Yerevan time today in Washington, followed by trilateral talks between Pashinyan, Trump, and Aliyev. The meetings will be broadcast live on the First Information Channel, Channel One, and Lurer's social networks.
In informal conversations with Washington-based experts familiar with the topic, Lurer correspondents explained what is expected from today's talks and which documents may be signed.
According to circulating reports, the topic of the "Zangezur corridor" has been resolved. There will be open roads that will connect the Republic of Armenia. Armenia and Azerbaijan will use each other's roads on equal terms within the framework of each other's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction, based on reciprocity. Public Television reports that "Armenia will receive a railway connection with the outside world, including Iran, China, Central Asia, and Russia."
The peace agreement will be signed in the presence of the U.S. president. The parties agree to maintain peace, reject revanchism, and refrain from seizing each other's territories, now and in the future. This is based on the fact that the territories of the former Armenian and Azerbaijani SSRs are identical to the current territories of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Given these conditions, the existence of the OSCE Minsk Group is meaningless, calling into question the sincerity of the parties' intentions. Therefore, the parties will jointly request that the OSCE dissolve the Minsk Group. Thus, de facto peace will be established between Armenia and Azerbaijan," reports Public Television.
According to experts, Washington will acknowledge the necessity of signing and ratifying a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, for which the U.S. president will be responsible.-0-
