YEREVAN, 18 December. /ARKA/. The next meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani commissions on border delimitation may be held in the near future, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said today, but did not specify its venue and date.

'There is no agreement yet on the date of the next meeting (of the Armenian and Azerbaijani commissions on border delimitation), but I believe it will take place in the near future,’ he told reporters on Wednesday.

Grigoryan explained that at the stages of discussion and approval of the Regulations on the joint work of the Armenian and Azerbaijani commissions on delimitation and demarcation of the state border, an agreement was reached that the sides should hold meetings and continue their work after the document comes into force.

Answering the question whether Armenia will propose to delimit the Armenian territories occupied by Azerbaijan at the next stage, Deputy Prime Minister noted that press releases are always published after the commissions' meetings.

'We try to present the results to you and the public in as much detail as possible. I cannot say more, as there is an agreement - and it is good that the sides have honoured it so far - not to provide any information beyond the press releases,’ the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Earlier, in late October, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan described the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border section in the Tavush region near the village of Kirants, bordering Azerbaijan, as successful. -0-
