YEREVAN, August 20. /ARКА/. A court in Yerevan has extended the detention of activist Lidia Mantashyan for another three months, until November 25, 2025. Mantashayn was detailed along with other activists, supporters of so-called Sacred Struggle, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.

The ruling can be contested in the Criminal Court of Appeals within a period of 10 days. Mantashyan has asserted that she has no intention of committing any terrorist acts and maintains her innocence.

Previously, five members of the opposition "Armenia" parliamentary faction provided a guarantee advocating for a modification of Mantashyan's preventive measure.

On June 26, the Investigative Committee of Armenia announced the apprehension of 15 individuals, including leaders and participants of the Sacred Struggle movement, who are implicated in a criminal case concerning the organization of terrorist activities and the usurpation of power within the nation.

Those detained include Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Sacred Struggle movement, two other clergymen, former Artsakh parliament member David Galstyan, retired colonel Migran Makhsudyan, and Dashnaktsutyun member Igor Sargsyan.-0-
