YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Argishti Mekhakyan has been appointed as the new governor of Armenia's Armavir region. The decision was made during a meeting of the Armenian government on Thursday.

His predecessor, David Khudatyan, was earlier appointed as Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, replacing Gnel Sanosyan.-0-
