Armen Martirosyan succeeds Raffi Hovannisian as Zharangutiun party leader

Zharangutiun (Heritage) political party held its caucus on Saturday. According to the press office of the party, Armen Martirosyan was elected at the meeting as party leader.

YEREVAN, February 26. /ARKA/. Zharangutiun (Heritage) political party held its caucus on Saturday. According to the press office of the party, Armen Martirosyan was elected at the meeting as party leader.
Susanna Muradyan was elected as deputy chair and Raffi Hovannisian as coordinator of the party’s political board.
Vanik Aleksanyan will continue fulfilling the board secretary’s duties and Andranik Grigoryan duties of the secretary general on international relations. Gevorg Ghahramanyan will be the party speaker.
“I am convinced that Zharangutyun with its new leadership will continue serve Armenia and its people’s most important interests, strengthening our rights and sovereignty,” Raffi Hovannisian said.
Armen Martirosyan, on his side, said that Zharangutyun party members understand very well the essence of modesty, humanity and motherland.
“And let our ordinary citizens know that if we really wish that, our aspiration for freedom and justice will prevail,” he said.
Zharangutiun (Heritage), a national liberal party, was founded in 2002 by Raffi Hovhannisian, a former foreign minister. Zharangutiun is known as a western-leaning party. -0---
