YEREVAN, May 26. /ARKA/. Armenia seeks to normalize relations with its neighbors based on mutual recognition of sovereignty and territorial integrity, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"Armenia's vision is clear - normalization of relations with two of our neighbors, full respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity with respect to each other, with strict renunciation of territorial claims against each other and deepening of traditional good-neighborly relations," Mirzoyan noted at the second international forum "Yerevan Dialogue".

According to him, "in the region we are making a fateful choice: to build a future whose formative link is not the grievances of the past, but a vision filled with optimism and hope, which is based on real opportunities."

"We all know history, it cannot be forgotten, it cannot be rephrased, we must move forward to a better future. However, we know that peace does not come easy, it is a consistent process that is advanced by bold diplomacy with the building of mutual understanding and trust," Mirzoyan said.

He emphasized that a strong and strategic partnership has been established with countries - from the United States to Europe and throughout Asia.

"Armenia has clearly outlined its path forward: to overcome clashes and deepen cooperation," Mirzoyan noted.

The Foreign Minister also stated that Armenia seeks to strengthen communication, stimulate sustainable economic growth, improve innovation, strengthen democracy and the rule of law, focusing on the development of human capital.

According to him, "creating such an environment for our citizens is a strategic priority for Armenia."

“At the same time, we believe that the new opportunities opening up before us depend on restoring respect for international law with a commitment to a moral ‘compass’ and core values and the ability to make bold decisions,” Mirzoyan said.
