YEREVAN, September 17. /ARКА/. Political consultations were held yesterday in Paris between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and France, as reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

The consultations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan of Armenia and Brice Roquefeuil,  Head of the Continental Europe Department at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

During these discussions, the two nations explored cooperation programs in various sectors, including economy, infrastructure, defense, and culture, as well as the potential for further development and expansion of these initiatives.

Additionally, the current collaboration within international organizations and other multilateral forums was addressed. In this regard, the importance of ongoing mutual support and enhanced efforts to align strategies on shared interests was highlighted.

The parties also examined matters related to the Armenia-EU partnership agenda, acknowledging France's constructive role in its expansion and development. In-depth discussions were conducted regarding the strategic partnership document between Armenia and France and the anticipated timeline for its signing.

Furthermore, the parties considered opportunities for collaboration in light of two significant international events scheduled to take place in Armenia in 2026 - the Summit of the European Political Community and the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17).
