Armenia and Slovenia intend to expand relations in the ICT sector, green energy and other sectors

YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. The political dialogue between Armenia and Slovenia is rich and quite dynamic. The Armenian side attaches great importance to these relations, which are based on shared values and mutual interests, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated at a press conference with Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon.
Among the sectors where the two countries see opportunities for expanding bilateral relations, Mirzoyan mentioned high and information technologies, innovative agriculture, education, tourism, green energy, and pharmaceuticals.
"One of our key goals is to increase trade volume, and in this context, we discussed the need to expand existing cooperation between the Investment Support Center and the Spirit Slovenia agency," Mirzoyan said.
Fajon, in turn, emphasized that Armenia is a priority for Slovenia in terms of humanitarian programs and development projects.
She highlighted the potential for expanding cooperation in areas such as sports, space, software, and computer solutions. "Slovenian companies are interested in cooperating with Armenia in these fields," she said, expressing confidence in the potential for new partnerships in the tourism sector.
In this regard, Fajon invited innovative Armenian companies working in the field of water technologies to apply for participation in an international competition to be held in Slovenia in early July this year under the auspices of President Nataša Pirc Musar.
