YEREVAN, February 10. /ARKA/. Armenia and the United States will soon establish a Monitoring Center, Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, announced at a press conference on the 2025 results.
"This will allow for smart tracking of information from all X-ray devices at checkpoints," Hakobyan said.
The Monitoring Center, part of Armenia's customs and border infrastructure, is being established with US support as part of the Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia reported that the center will provide centralized management of border control systems, among other things.
As reported by the US Embassy in Armenia, the S2 Global team visited Armenia to preview how CertScan can support the work of the Armenian Customs Service. The Export Control and Border Security Program has allocated $3.5 million for the implementation of this advanced platform, which will strengthen border security, modernize trade processes, and facilitate revenue collection. The CertScan integration platform will consolidate images from X-ray scanning systems installed at various border crossings into a single platform centrally managed from Yerevan.
This platform will contribute to the goals of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project by creating a favorable environment for expanding regional trade and connectivity, improving risk management, identifying suspicious cargo, and facilitating legitimate trade.
