YEREVAN, September 12. /ARКА/. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with Brendan Henrehen, the head of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State, to explore the potential for expanding economic collaboration and increasing trade turnover between the two nations, as reported by the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The dialogue covered the advancement of bilateral relations across several critical sectors, including trade and investment, agriculture and food security, energy, high technology and innovation, information technology and the digital economy, as well as tourism.

Both parties underscored the significance of enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation and expressed their willingness to persist in collaborative efforts aimed at fortifying economic connections, improving the investment climate, and fostering new initiatives.

Papoyan highlighted Armenia's keen interest in the TRIPP program and suggested the development of these projects through a public-private partnership (PPP) model, which would facilitate the attraction of private investments, alongside initiating the creation of a roadmap for the program's implementation.

According to Armstat, Armenia's trade with the United States from January to July 2025 reached $214.7 million, reflecting a 19% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. Exports totaled $29.6 million, marking a decline of 9.1%, while imports stood at $185.1 million, down by 20.4%.-0-
