YEREVAN, September 1. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian government.


The interlocutors, emphasizing the further expansion and deepening of friendly relations and political dialogue between Armenia and Vietnam, discussed the agenda of mutual visits and diplomatic contacts, intensification of cooperation in the field of trade and investment, as well as assistance in the development of business ties. The parties noted with satisfaction that bilateral trade turnover has been growing in recent years, but there is great potential for a consistent increase in volumes.

In this regard, the active work of the Armenian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as the holding of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs were noted.

Mutual assistance on international platforms, deepening of ties in the field of tourism, and possibilities for simplifying mutual visits were noted.
