YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. Armenia is interested in taking its partnership with Germany to a new level, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

According to the government's press service, Pashinyan noted that Germany is a key ally of Armenia both bilaterally and within the framework of its partnership with the EU.

He noted that both countries share a common commitment to human rights, democracy, and the rule of law, and that Armenia and Germany actively cooperate bilaterally and within multilateral platforms.

Steinmeier emphasized his country's readiness to develop relations with Armenia, expressing confidence that Pashinyan's visit will give new impetus to bilateral cooperation in all areas.

The two sides discussed issues on the bilateral agenda and exchanged views on the further expansion of Armenia-EU cooperation. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of holding the European Political Community summit in Armenia and noted that it is an important platform for political dialogue with Europe.

They also discussed issues of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and other regional issues.
