YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. Armenia is currently working with all partners in the nuclear energy sector, particularly from France, the United States, Russia, and South Korea, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"In the future, after receiving all possible answers, the necessary decisions will be made on all possible issues," Pashinyan said at a briefing on Thursday, in response to a journalist's question about whether the Armenian authorities had decided on a partner country for the construction of a new nuclear power unit.
The Prime Minister recalled that on August 8, 2025, three memorandums of intent were signed in Washington with US President Donald Trump, the first of which concerned the energy sector, also covering nuclear energy. "We are developing our cooperation with various countries that possess nuclear technology," Pashinyan said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that Vice President J.D. Vance would visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in February to continue peace efforts and advance the TRIPP project. Trump also expressed his intention to conclude an "excellent peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement" with Armenia.
