YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. The Resident Embassy of Armenia opened yesterday in Muscat, the capital of Oman, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

The official opening ceremony was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Oman, Ararat Mirzoyan and Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi. The flag of the Republic of Armenia was raised in front of the embassy building, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

Mirzoyan, in particular, emphasized that the opening of the embassy is an important practical step aimed at fully leveraging the potential of partnership and strengthening cooperation in the economic, educational, and cultural spheres between the two countries.

"Armenia has committed to building a peaceful future in the South Caucasus. After decades of hostility, infrastructure isolation, and economic hardship, the peoples of our region now have the opportunity to live in peace, prosper, and benefit from peaceful development and interregional cooperation. These shared values ​​and mutual understanding also form a solid foundation for bilateral relations between the Republic of Armenia and Oman,” Mirzoyan noted.
