Armenia's 2026 state budget revenue is planned to increase by 253.4 billion drams, or 8.9%, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during the 2026 budget debate in parliament.
YEREVAN, October 27. /ARKA/. Armenia's 2026 state budget revenue is planned to increase by 253.4 billion drams, or 8.9%, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during the 2026 budget debate in parliament.
According to him, the most important news next year will be the introduction of a mandatory health insurance system. He explained that this will not pose an additional financial burden to citizens next year, as the government will cover all expenses during the adaptation period.
"Going forward, the government plans to provide health insurance for children under 18, pensioners over 65, and certain social groups," he said, adding that changes are planned to the system for assessing insecurity. The head of government also announced that 55 billion drams will be allocated in 2026 to address housing issues and other needs of displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.
On September 25, the Armenian government approved the country's draft state budget for 2026. The document projects GDP growth at 5.4%, revenues at 3.9 trillion drams, expenditures at 3.6 trillion drams, and a deficit of 537 billion drams, or 4.5% of GDP. ($1 = 383.05 drams)ю-0-
