YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Magdalena Grono. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian government.
During the meeting, the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 in Washington were discussed, and an exchange of views took place on the agenda of Armenia-EU cooperation.
About the Washington Declaration
Following the meeting of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Washington on August 8, the leaders of the three countries signed a 7-point declaration.
In particular, the document declares the initialing by the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the parties of the agreed text of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan; signing of a statement by the Foreign Ministers of both countries on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk process and related structures; efforts to ensure unimpeded communication between Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan through the territory of Armenia based on respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of states; as well as cooperation between Armenia and the United States and third countries to determine the framework for the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project on the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
On August 11, the Armenian Foreign Ministry published the text of the initialed agreement, which includes 17 chapters.
