Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan confirmed that he recently discussed the export of oil and petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Shahin Mustafayev, in Gabala.
YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan confirmed that he recently discussed the export of oil and petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Shahin Mustafayev, in Gabala.
In response to Azatutyun's question about whether Yerevan and Baku have already agreed on fuel supplies from Azerbaijan, Grigoryan stated: "Yes, discussions have taken place, and there is potential for cooperation."
Regarding the volumes of Azerbaijani fuel supplies, which Armenian companies intend to purchase oil from Azerbaijan, the price range Azerbaijan is willing to sell oil and petroleum products to Armenia, and whether it will be competitive with fuel imported from Russia, Grigoryan noted that further steps regarding fuel supplies are already within the scope of cooperation between private exporters and importers, and the terms of possible deals will be market-based. Recently, an aide to the President of Azerbaijan stated that Yerevan and Baku are discussing the export of oil and petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
