YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. Armenia welcomes the ceasefire agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
"The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses hope that this ceasefire will be a significant step towards resolving humanitarian issues and promoting peace in the region," it said in a statement.
U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron issued a joint statement on the cessation of hostilities between Israel and Lebanon.
In Lebanon, where the Israeli army was conducting operations against the Hezbollah group, a ceasefire regime came into effect on Tuesday night, which was approved by the Israeli government the day before.-0-
