Armenia accuses Azerbaijan of escalating tension on contact line

Vigen Sargsyan, Armenian defense minister, accused Azerbaijan of escalating tension on its contact line with Nagorno Karabakh as met with Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of OSCE CiO, on Tuesday.
YEREVAN, November 2. /ARKA/. Vigen Sargsyan, Armenian defense minister, accused Azerbaijan of escalating tension on its contact line with Nagorno Karabakh as met with Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of OSCE CiO, on Tuesday.
Sargsyan said things on the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Karabakh armed forces have become tense because the Azerbaijani side is periodically escalating tension here by shelling Karabakh positions more and more intensively and using heavier armament.
Sargsyan said that Armenian troops refrain from return actions responding to these provocations only when it is extremely necessary.
Ambassador Kasprzyk, on his side, said that his office is doing whatever is necessary to ease the tension. He expressed hope that progress will be reached soon. --0---
