Armenia and Belarus wish to bring their economic relations to a higher level, the press service of the Armenian president said after president Serzh Sargsyan received today the chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreychenko.

Armenia and Belarus wish to bring their economic relations to a higher level, the press service of the Armenian president said after president Serzh Sargsyan received today the chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreychenko.
"Given that Armenia and Belarus have untapped reserves to boost their economic cooperation, the sides stressed the need to improve their economic relations and discussed in this context the possibility of development of mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of areas, “ the press service said in a statement.
It said the two sides highly praised the current level of Armenian-Belarus political dialogue and the traditionally close and friendly relations between the two peoples.
The Belarusian delegation had arrived in Armenia to attend the inauguration ceremony of re-elected president Serzh Sargsyan. Andreychenko spoke about warmth and fraternally attitude of his country fellows towards Armenia and its president, who he said has contributed to strengthening of Armenian-Belarusian relations.
The two men were said to have emphasized the role of parliamentary diplomacy in the bilateral relations, as well as the active cooperation of their legislative bodies in international parliamentary organizations. -0-
