Armenia and Russia sign cooperation agreements in Yerevan

Armenia and Russia signed today a string of documents designed to boost their cooperation in a number of areas.

YEREVAN, October 14. /ARKA/. Armenia and Russia signed today a string of documents designed to boost their cooperation in a number of areas. The documents were signed on the sidelines of the First Eurasian Partnership Forum and the Fifth Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum held in the Armenian capital.

In particular, the governments of Russia and Armenia signed an agreement on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural spheres. The agreement was signed by Armenian minister of territorial administration David Lokyan and Russian Rostov region governor Vasily Golubev.

The governor of Armenian Gegharkunik region and the governor of the Russian Omsk region signed an agreement on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical and social spheres.

The Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University in Yerevan and Russian Rosnano Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs signed an agreement on establishing international educational resources in the field of biological technology. 

Another cooperation agreement was signed by Armenian Innovation and Industrial Development Foundation and the Russian Association of Clusters and Technology Parks.

The First Eurasian Partnership Forum, which will last until October 16, is aimed at the development of integration process across the Eurasian Economic Union, China, India, Iran, CIS, SCO, BRICS and other interested countries and integration structures. The forum is being held with the support of the government of Armenia and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The Fifth Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum, organized by the Armenian ministry of economic development and investments and the ministry of territorial administration and development is discussing a wide range of issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. -0-
