Armenia appoints its first ambassador to Saudi Arabia

YEREVAN, July 30. /ARKA/. Armenia appointed an ambassador to Saudi Arabia for the first time, as per a decree signed by the country’s President Vahagn Khachaturyan on Tuesday.

Karen Grigoryan, Armenia’s current ambassador to the UAE, will also serve as the ambassador to Saudi Arabia (with residence in Abu Dhabi).

The diplomatic relations between Armenia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were established on November 25, 2023. According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both countries aim to strengthen and expand cooperation in political, economic, technological, trade, and cultural sectors, as well as to promote international security and peace.
