Armenia assumes EEU’s rotating chairmanship

During a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Russian St. Petersburg today President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin wished Armenia success as it assumed the rotating chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/. During a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Russian St. Petersburg today President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin wished Armenia success as it assumed the rotating chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
The meeting chaired by Putin was said to have summed up the work of the Eurasian Economic Union chaired by Russia in the outgoing year. They also outlined the key areas for further deepening of the Eurasian integration, including in such areas as trade, energy, digital economics, and also reviewed current and organizational issues of the organization’s activities.
Putin said also they were going to discuss a set of draft decisions on the creation of common markets for oil, petroleum products and natural gas. He said according to experts, if these plans were implemented they would add up to nine billion dollars to the GDP of the bloc’s member countries. -0-
