Armenia deepens military-technical cooperation with Czech Republic

YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. The Armenian National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee approved today a government's initiative to ratify the agreement on military-technical cooperation between Armenia and the Czech Republic.
Speaking at Wednesday's session of the committee, Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan noted that the ratification will allow creation of an Armenian-Czech working group on military-technical cooperation.
"Bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and Armenia have been effectively developing since independence. Armenia is interested in expanding and deepening cooperation with the Czech Republic in political, trade and economic, scientific, educational, cultural and many other areas of mutual interest. And both in bilateral and multilateral formats," noted Sargsyan.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Armenian-Czech cooperation has a potential for effective development both within the framework of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the EU Eastern Partnership program.
Ratification of the agreement will promote the development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries in political, military and technical as well as economic areas, Sargsyan said. --0--
