Armenia interested in deeper military cooperation with Russia: premier

Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan discussed cooperation with deputy head of Russia’s federal service for military and technical cooperation, Russian chairman of Armenia-Russia intergovernmental commission on military cooperation Konstantin Biriulin, the government press office reported.

Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan discussed cooperation with deputy head of Russia’s federal service for military and technical cooperation, Russian chairman of Armenia-Russia intergovernmental commission on military cooperation Konstantin Biriulin, the government press office reported.
Biriulin arrived in Armenia to participate in the eighth meeting of the intergovernmental commission.
Armenia attached special importance to bilateral cooperation in defense technology and is interested to deepen the cooperation, the premier said.
Sargsyan appreciated Biriulin’s personal contribution to strengthening of bilateral ties. Biriulin, in his turn, said Russia attaches importance to development of its military cooperation with Armenia.
Biriulin and his Armenian counterpart, Armenia’s deputy minister of defense Alik Mirzabekyan briefed the head of the government on the outcome of the eighth meeting of the commission.
The sides said there is full mutual understanding on how the decisions and the agreements should be implemented. –0--
