Yerevan is interested in maintenance of stability in Georgia and wants to strengthen friendly relations with this neighboring country, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said Thursday as he met with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili in Yerevan, the Armenian president’s press office reports.

YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. Yerevan is interested in maintenance of stability in Georgia and wants to strengthen friendly relations with this neighboring country, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said Thursday as he met with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili in Yerevan, the Armenian president’s press office reports.  

The Armenian president again congratulated Ivanishvili on his coalition’s victory in parliamentary elections and expressed hope that the new Georgian government will successfully fulfill its mission. 

In response, the Georgian premier assured Sargsyan that his government will make every effort to make Armenian-Georgian relations best in the history. 

Ivanishvili said that he has discussed all essential issues with his Armenian counterpart, Tigran Sargsyan, and added that there are no grounds for thinking that something may hinder implementation of the arrangements.

He said the two friendly countries ought to help each other and wished success in the presidential elections expressing hope that they will be peaceful and just. -0-
